Haha Thanks Turbovanman! Those carbs new are $400 a piece, but I now have other plans for the truck. I never even got to run them ps: I can take pics of the setup in the mopar 2.2 speed secrets book if anyone's interested.

I had a 78 Civic with a single sidedraft, it was hard not to be at WOT all the time, dual SD's sound even better, I am drooling thinking of it, lol.

Well it sure is cool, I'll say that much. My first car was an '85 Dodge Omni GLH H.O. and I remember seeing these in the Mopar Performance catalog and just drooling over them for the longest time because I had so many problems with the Holley feedback carb. That was way back in the mid 90s; and I finally cured my turbo envy by purchasing an '87 Shelby Lancer in '99 and I kinda forgot all about the H.O n/a stuff. I also remember Bradley Miller had installed them on a Shelby Charger way back in the day. Sounds like it could be a lot of fun especially for those that are into the nostalgia aspect which I find that I myself in the longer I am into these cars.

Here's a couple questions:

1. What to do about that throttle cable, linkage, and syncing the two carbs up? I've never seen this setup in person so I'm not sure if factory stuff can be adapted easily.

2. What is this 'soft mount kit' you speak of? I have the Mopar Speed Secrets book and it has a little information on the dual Weber DCOE kit. It describes the carbs mounting on spring loaded studs (?) Is that anything like you have?

Thanks a lot for your interest, iTurbo! Everyone wants a td and I dont blame them, but if your keeping it carb'd, these are a must for performance. As for the throttle cable, Iv seen people make them, but heres a link to the complete kit - http://www.piercemanifolds.com/product_p/pm3702-l.htm . Id set them up and get an a/f reading. Tune from there, just keep the mix screws the same amount of turns out for both and you should be good to go. Its real easy to install, pull your carb and intake, then put the side draft intakes and webers on, with the soft mount kit between them. As for the metal line that runs from the bottom of your t stat to the intake, then to the firewall, just run it straight to the firewall since theres no where to hook them up on the side draft intakes (its just used to heat up the stock intake). The soft mount kit reduces vibration which is very important for these carbs. Without them the vibrations can restrict the fuel. I have the speed secrets book as well, this setup looks great on the cover! Theres almost no info about them though, mostly part numbers for things that havent been made since the mid 80's. Its not easy finding the intakes for these, just get the throttle linkage set up and your good to go!! In the first photo you can see on the left that theres a little bracket mounted ontop. Your throttle cable snaps into that, then attach's to the linkage. If you want I can take a video of all this for you.
