    Hard starting when warm..Help!!

Hey guys.. my pops has a 93 plymouth voyager with a 2.5 tbi motor in it. This past summer theres been a problem with the car. It has 177,000 miles on her no body has been inside the motor except for me doing valve seals. Anyhow, the car starts up fine and like it should when it sits over night and the engine is nice and cold. But after you drive it for a while and the engine gets to operating temp it has a hard time starting back up, you have a crank it for several seconds before the engine starts....anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Tom

Temp sensor reading innacurate. Needs replaced. Fuel boiling out of the fuel lines causing a vapor lock type situation. Check valve in the tank not sealing.

I'd be monitoring fuel pressure. Usually when the regulator or pump check valve go, the pump looses prime and it takes longer, IE what's happening to you, to start.

Thanks for the tips guys. i will check the pressure and temp sensor.

btw, if its the pump, if i prime the pump a few times with key on and off, and it starts right away with a hot engine...i can pretty much say, its the pump losing its prime right?

You could probably say that with your vehicle. If you put a FP gauge on there you should see it drop very quickly/instantly when you shut the car off though.
