Has any body had a set of front Koni Struts for a neon rebuilt recently? I contacted KONI but to be honest they are really hard to get information out of. I dont want to send them in and have a $600 bill when I can get new ones for $400.
Mine are in great shape, but they just now started to leak oil, and it is coming out of the top of the strut at the adjustment.
I Emailed Truechoice a few weeks ago about rebuilding a pair of GLHS rears and this was their reply.

The rebuild cost is $125.00 per shock plus parts. The parts are usually $30.00 to $40.00 per shock and our current turnaround time is 2 weeks.

Thanks. So about $370 with parts, and shipping then. Any idea if the Koni Yellows are the same struts as factory? I could probally make out ahead on buying the ones new and selling mine. They dont make them anymore, but they pop up on ebay every so often.
got a phone call from proparts usa who are rebuilding the front koni's i got from simon for my daytona, and the cost is $415 usd, but $41 of that is border costs, one strut just needed seals and a gas charge, the other was worse and needed a new inner cylinder due to scratching from crap getting by, overall im pretty happy with the cost. and the price includes a trip on the shock dyno to check them out after rebuilding!
