OK guys and gals here is the deal. I've driven these and can say they are a night and day improvement over our stock cables! Takes all the effort/drag out of shifting and the adjustability is awesome. Real quality pieces here. Brian Slowe got to see/feel them today and he was impressed too. I'm not gonna be selling these cables because I think I should be the only one to have something so nice. Lol, kidding.

I don't have the time or desire to be a vendor right now plus, I don't want to make money off of these at the expense of raising prices to everyone else. I wanted to get these done because I thought we could use and benefit from cables better than the old stock ones. That said, I got these cables from push-pull.com. They are located in California and my contact Guy's name is David. They were very professional and reasonable. If you contact David for cables just give him my name(Carroll) and tell him you want the cables he made for me. He said he can make any length now that he's got the ends down so, if you want something shorter or longer you just gotta give him the length. If someone wants 555 cables they will probably have to send a set to him if they are different so he can make them too. I'm going to have him make up a clutch cable as well in the not-to-distant-future....should make clutch action easier and won't have to worry about it snapping.

David did tell me that if I ordered 5 that he would sell them to me for $112 a piece instead of $125. I know thats not a big difference but honestly there's probably $75-100 just in parts in these cables! If you guys want me to organize a group buy I would be willing to, lmk. Please, if you order some on your own tell them Carroll sent you(so I can get a discount later!). When you get them please leave feedback on them here so everyone knows how they are!

Also, can we make this a sticky somewhere ?

I have a set of 520/555 cables which I believe came from a Shadow. I will double check them to see if they are the same that are currently in my OMNI. If they are, I will be willing to ship them to the guys to mock up.

That would be great!! Then length of those should work great too in an L- body.

    Nice work Carroll!

Maybe we can make it a KC article, but I'll make it a sticky for now

I looked thru the thread real quick and might have missed it... Do you have the sheath/cable lengths of the P-body cables you used vs. the same for the G/H/J-body cable?

Re: Custom SS Hiem jointed shifter cables.

    Awesome work dude.

I need an extra long cable for my GLHS so that I can get it safely behind my downpipe. The longest stock cable just isn't quite long enough for the routing that I wanted.
I really like putting the hole for one of the shifter cables on the lbody on the passenger side of the exhaust tunnel and then running it parallel to the block. That way it isn't kinked and has the correct angle for the bracket. With these I can get it a little longer and make it perfect!

I will have to give them a call soon!

I just called David, I'm going to send a set of P body 555 trans cables and a set of G body 555 trans cables and have some made. I'm also going to request that he keep these measurements saved for us. They sound like a good bunch of guys over there and I can't wait to see these things in action.

Awesome! Did they give you any idea on a time frame when the cables would be done?

Re: Custom SS Hiem jointed shifter cables.

This weekend I will remove my old cables and ship them ASAP, after they recieve them they will contact me and give me the bill. they will also let me know how long til i see 'em. Im going to send them a document describing the body types the cables came from, that way when you guys order they have a few things to go by.
