They can really be made any length. The hard part was getting the ends and mounting hardware correct to fit the shifter and tranny bracket.

Yup, should fit like butter baby.

What is the difference? I've never messed with those crap trannys.

Looks like 3/16th e-clip does the job.

I also wanted to point something else out that is really sweet! There is a "360* swivel" on each end of each cable. I wanted this because I had to change the angle of my tranny bracket to clear my turbo. It also is perfect for the side-to-side movement of the selector cable at the shifter. Pretty sweet!

how do the cable seals look? as in, do they seem duarble or even better than OEM? I guess the question I have, do you think these will be prone to binding or feezing in the cold, like our stock cables?

Re: Custom SS Hiem jointed shifter cables.

I will measure and buy a set, maybe 2 in the future. I am avoiding messing with stuff like that until my Degree gets finished. My wife will be helping me stay on task so I can have fun with cars again and not just daily drive.

I really hate P body shifter location and OEM length cables, even P body cables. I really like our shifter lifted up closer to the steering wheel and that means you need to run through the firewall.

Our cables just seem so crappy OEM. I had one cable snap in half on a hard shift. I don't really care about the ends, its the length that makes me giddy.

I roll with bare shifters so I think I need to powerdercoat my shifters to match those pretty cables.

Re: Custom SS Hiem jointed shifter cables.

Installed them today and HOLY HORSE SH*T! These things are beyond awesome! Shifting is near effortless and crisp. I never noticed until now how much effort it took to shift with the stock cables. I did have to modify my cable because my turbo sits so close to the cables, this will be a non-issue with any other set-up. My precision turbo hangs even lower than my Holset did. I just had to file a flat spot to clear the bottom of the turbo and it fit(still touching). Also, I couldn't get reverse or 5th when I put them on, made a few cables adjustments and GOLDEN. Feels like shifting a completely different car.
