us local guys always tease the Merkur/SVO guys around here that if they want to make their cars faster they need to put Dodge parts in them. They've listened and most are running flashable SMEC's and have had cams ground to stock TD specs and picked up time

I seem to remember the Mustang SVO and Merkur XR4TI guys doing Volvo DOHC swaps onto the Ford 2.3L. It was a bit like the way we do the 'hybrid' DOHC setups on the older 2.2/2.5 block if I remember right.

I like the car though. Would love to hear how it turned out. Very nice work.

    Re: SrtStang build

yea that's an option for them but you have to weld a large chunk of aluminum to the back of the head. I've only seen it on the internet and seems like a lot of work. Not as easy as we have it.

I can't believe they didn't machine the adapter plate flat. Just cut out a sheet of plate and left it.

    Wow, that looks fantastic.
Any info on that trans adapter? Did you guys make or buy somewhere?
Thought about a similar project with my 64 Chevy II.

Have not forgot about this site. I actually haven't posted anything about the car in a very long time but it has made some major progress over the years and this looks like the year it will finally move on its own power

Well the roll cage is completed along with all the suspension and chassis work. Car is in flat black primer and all the jams are painted gloss black. Roll cage and everything tubular are painted / powder coated snake skin green.

Also have the 11:1 Pistons and crank strap ready to be installed. All brake lines are finished. It mainly needs to be wired and interior installed. I do still need the troque converter and drive shaft funds have been a bit low lately so I've been waiting on that. There's been plenty more to do though.

So ya got a Ford with a Dodge motor and a Chevy trans. You've single handedly resurrected AMC. lol

Nice project, I'm curious to see how it comes out.
