400 Plus Pictures of my Shelby Charger Build

I finally got around to uploading all my Shelby Charger build pictures to Photobucket. There are 407 right now. I will add more.

I built this car starting in late spring 2003 - early summer 2004. It has sat since April 2008. I sold my transaxle because I was going to build a 520/555 hybrid. Both trannies are sitting on the floor next to the car and the engine is on a stand.

Kick --- Kevin, I can't wait to go through and have a better look when I get back home from vacation. I've been wanting to do something like this for my projects ever since my old site went down. Still mulling over format and finding hosting (hopefully through Frank when I get my ---- together).

Thanks for uploading all these, good stuff.

Have you written up the process of patching in the front airdam once the uprights are removed? Someone hacked out the uprights in the nose of my GLHS... but didn't patch it in. Yours looks pretty good open.

I cut the dividers out. We found a bumper cover from a Chevy Astro in the junk pile that we chose because it had an area that was flat. We cut a couple patch panels out. I beveled the edges of the airdam and the patches. I clamped the patches in using paint sticks to hold them flush. I filled the gaps on both sides with rubber bumper epoxy. I put extra on the underside. We sanded the topside smooth and finished with regular body filler. You will notice that the back edge of the airdam will not be even. I had to cut mine straight. You will see what I’m talking about if you do it. I wish I had taken a picture of it. Heck, there may be one in there and I just didn’t see it.
