I own as stated above a 1988 dodge daytona shelby turbo z 2.2L, My problem, When you press the gas pedal to the floor, It raise's the rpm to about 1500 then backs off. Then will try and give the engine gas again there for the rpm will get to about 2500. After three or four times of it doing this the rpm will stay jumping back and forth between 2500 rpm and 3000 rpm on a estimate. When then it will finally act like the pedal is pressed all the way to the floor. I am super frustrated and have tried alot of solutions, Air filter, timing, spark plugs, injectors. Am i missing something easy that needs to be fixed?

Thanks in advance
