GLHS #284 - From Pieces to Daily Driver in 5 days

Got in a pretty bad accident with my 260z last night. Was driving home from an extra long shift at work around 6 PM and fell asleep about 1/2 a mile away from my house. Hit a guardrail around 65-70 MPH, dont remember much except for a loud crash.

Datsun is fixable, but not in the time I need it for. Seeing as I really need a car for work and school I decided to get my GLHS going.

Ive had the GLHS for about 3 years now. Picked it up from a guy and never really did anything with the car because I never had the time or funds. Now that theres a necessity and I have virtually everything I need from my old shelby charger, its time to get started.

    Here's the GLHS today:

I will be swapping in a 2.5L out of my old shelby charger.

I will also be adding a 2-piece intake and a garrett T2 turbocharger.

Anyway, plans are to get the car running and drive it until I can get my datsun fixed. Have to be at work on Monday so it really only gives me about 4 or 5 days to get the car drivable.

I'll be updating daily what I get done!

Also if anyone has a 2.5" swingvalve laying around PM me as I'd like to purchase it!

Sorry to hear about your wreck, hope everything goes smooth with the GLHS

Take care though, going from overtired enough to nuzzle the guardrail into a TM build marathon doesn't sound real healthy.

Update! Ive gotten quite a bit done in the last couple of days. Transaxle and driveshafts are in the car. Front brakes are on. I removed the balance shafts from the 2.5L and plugged the oil feed hole so I could run my 2.2L oil pan. The +20 injectors have been swapped onto the 2-piece intake.

Hopefully the engine will be ready to drop in tomorrow night so I can start doing the final touches to get the car running (:
