Finally, a comparison between my two intake designs.

Ram I: Addition of a box and add a 48mm TPI throttle body to the upper stock plenum.

Ram II: Eliminate the upper plenum and add about 2 1/2 times of the plenum size of the Ram I and a 58mm TPI TB. The runners are also shortened due to the elimination of about 2 inches of runners from the upper plenum.

The idea was to move the torque band upper in the RPM range and at the same time increase top end HP. Well, it did work! The improvement should've been much more but for this dyno test I could not get the same wheels which were smaller in diameter (24.2 vs 25.7)

Nice. Did this include the chip you were working on? That intake on a 3.1 or 3.4 would pull enough air it would create a black hole at the throttle blades!!!!!! LOL.

    Always good stuff from Rattlesnake.
    John Laing

"The sole condition which is required in order to succeed in centralizing the supreme power in a democratic community, is to love equality, or to get men to believe you love it. Thus the science of despotism, which was once so complex is simplified, and reduced . . . . to a single principle."

"One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary."

Thank Jhonl for the compliment! Now I can install The Torkster and compare notes and decide which one is best suited for what the car is used for, the track.

Now the latest intake is going in. My goal is to move the power higher in the RPM range and at the same time make more power without loosing too much midrange torque. Well, so far so good. What I've been doing is decreasing the runners length to achieve this.
Ram 1 runners measured 10 inches long.
Ram 2 measures 4.5 inches long.
Ram 3 measures 2.5 inches long.(runners are also a little wider than the 2 earlier intakes)
I also believe a little bigger cam will boost performance for this short runner intake. We'll do some adjustment to the mixture via ECM PROM and will head to the dyno and compare notes.
