I don't of anyone using a scatter shield on our cars. I don't even think it's required for a fwd vehicle as a couple of sub 11sec cars out there and they don't seem to run one.
we use our own custom sheild sfi approved on a A-413 Tranny only because the NHRA rules requires itOriginally Posted by deuce dodge
How fast do you have to go before they start requiring one? I was looking for pics of you car to see if you ran one or not, but couldn't seem to find them even though I know they're out there.Originally Posted by SMPerformance

So if I wanted to be legal, I would have to fabricate a shield, and also find someone to make a flywheel?

There's several stick cars faster than 11.99...
The flywheel and pressure plate have to be steel instead of cast iron. My p-plate is a custom steel on, but not sure if the stock flywheel is steel or cast???
anyone know the thickness the sheild has to be? I got a big bender at work
