    Re: My Masi engine build

I haven't updated this in a LOONNNNGGGG time. Sorry about that. I am making progress. Ikve been working on a scraper/baffle system for the oil pan. The 2nd mock-up pieces are cut out, I just have to assemble them, put them in the pan, and check for functionality. Once that is done, then I can button up the bottom end, and I can plop the head on it, finally! I'm not setting a time frame because lord knows how long this is going to take.

I think I've also decided that the TU radiator is going to be too small. I might be selling it to get a larger radiator, maybe even a double pass, but iKm trying to figure out the bennefits of that design. I have pictures of my progress, I just need to upload them.

Glad to see that you're still making good progress. Have you been able to sneak any jet parts out Johnny Cash style to aid in your build? I could see some pretty sweet pumps etc. coming together while you're in the garage belting out "I built it one piece at a time..."

LOL, nah...the engines came assembled and I think they'd notice something's up when stupid expensive fan blades start missing.

Well at least with a little duct tape you could make some creative use of the composite scrap pile.

Believe me...I'd love to be able to take some scraps home. Unfortunately they frown on people preventing perfectly good excess material from going to the landfill.

I know how that goes. It's infuriating. I was once in charge of throwing out up to 50 delicious rotisserie chickens each evening. I couldn't do it with a good conscience so I transferred to tires. One of the best moves I've ever made.
