Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) for 1985 Dodge 600 ES Turbo

Hi, does anyone know where we can find a IACV for a 1985 Dodge 600 ES Turbo Convertible, with a 2.2L engine?


Our 85 Dodge 600 ES Turbo runs great, but at idle will sometimes want to stall. Especially after the engine is warm. Our mechanic has determined that the IACV is bad. Trouble is, we can't find one! The model we have has no vacuum ports on it, and two wires coming off of it. There is not an electrical connector directly on the unit. Our mechanic has found two units, but they are the wrong type.


We have already tried Arizona Parts, Rock Auto, Auto Zone and NAPA.


Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You have to get a used one. I had the same issue with my 86 turbo z. The junkyards used to be loaded with early TI cars, you could get them a dime a dozen. Now, not so much. Good luck!

Welcome to the board.

Can the log style stuff be adjusted like the later blow through? If so you could close the AIS all the way, snip the wires on it and run without it. It may die on really cold mornings, but the blow through systems really don't need them in my experience.

You could always try the parts wanted section of the board. Surely someone who has converted to TII has one they would be willing to part with for cheap.
