    Charger SRT-4 Build

This is a pic for my car when it was on street duty back in 1998 Under the hood was a TIV long block with s60 electronics.
Its best pass was 13.3 @ 110 on street tires.

After a long hiatus and a divorce it looks like this.

I was luck to find a sweet deal on a *NEW* stratus R/T engine. The best thing to complement that is a 31TH with A413 internals built by Dean S.
I Decided to run with the srt intake because of the runner design, The casting ,runner size and design is the best out of all stock intakes for this head. And since i wanted that intake with an auto i had to mod the elbow @ the throtle body. If im gonna mod the intake I cant run a stock t body so a 65mm BBK will take the place of the stocker

It is mounted using Lbody trans mount stratus/neon/Lbody passenger side mount solid front and rear. this is a pic of the rear mount.(yes I know there is no hardware )

you cant fit the alternator in the srt position(rear) because it will hit the frame. I couldnt use a stratus mount (front) because it would interfere with the srt intake. I ended custom fabbing a bracket where the a/c compressor mounts (front)

I have recently purchased my new shifter and a few fittings that i need to finish my revised fuel system. I will post more pics after im don working on it this weekend.
I guess if you have any questions of my setup.....just ask
    Dave

    Sweet project.

I agree, the SRT intake is a awsome design and probally one of the best I have seen for any turbo engine. Inside looks like its been ported/smoothed stock.

I like the front end. Does all the factory sheet metal bolt to it?

    Re: Charger SRT-4 Build

Unfortunatly I haven't been able to work on the car for three weeks due to reconstructive ACL surgery. Many have come up with the name $6,000,000 Dave . This week will have lots of progress as long as this dont get in the way...

I was fortunate to purchase My old SRT-4 that i sold to a friend but he crashed It has a forced performance stage 3 turbo in it, I was going to use that for my build, but decided to go with the turbo i was using on my TIII build.
    Precision Turbo 6152E .
    It will support 630HP

The turbo has a 3" vband that attaches to a 4" ATP turbo down pipe.

I will be taking the wiring harness out of my srt-4 this week and the duty of engine control will be given to a AEM EMS with wideband control.

I will post more updates this week. The last of the fuel system will be picked up tomorrow. As long as my knee co-operates the car will be running soon....

You can see the upper mount on the last pic on post one. it still needs a 1/2" spacer so i can get the original hardware to line up. The rear side of the mount frame needed some massaging to fit the stratus mount. There is also a solid mount that goes directly to the front tube/rad cradle it is directly under the alternator. I can post more detailed pics of both if you wish.

Ummm, not too much progress as of late. I finished the throttle cable and bracket and also looks that I have the Hurst shifter cable mount figured out.
I also have the pics that were requested , But I left my camera at the shop... I will have them up tomorrow.
The filter for the fuel system was picked up today on one of my driving missions .
I started therapy yesterday and let me tell ya Im feelin it today. It also rained today, Im not sure if that has anything to do with it but i hear it does........

Imma diggin it. Not to mention it's also a Canadian car. I would love to see more pics of things like the tubed front end, alt mount etc. Really anything fabbed. I also just finished an LS2 coil mount if you're interested in going that route. What kind of axles are those?

Beside it being Canadian its also a hard top no sunroof SC. As for the tubed front end I had that done back in 2004/2005 so many of the build pics were lost, but I set it up to run a daytona front mount. There is no intake mods needed when I had a TIII in there. As for the LS2 coil is that a coil on plug setup?? The axles are stock 1990 Omni auto shafts.
These are the pics that were requested.

^^in that pic you can see how much the frame had to be massaged also you can see that the O/E mount was used but flipped over and still needs a 1/2inch spacer.

^^ here you see the solid front mount off the srt a/c bracket. I made a small bracket for the alternator that mounts to the a/c bracket.

I ran it in 2001 with the original turbo @ 12 psi with auto 12.7 @ 105 with the dist in the head and s60 computer.
The tune was super crap and could barely spin the 26x8 goodyears. I ended up turning up the boost to 18psi and had a passenger side equal length fail hitting 2nd gear. This is a pic of the car that weekend
