Well I guess it's a boost related topic even though I'm guessing it's a computer problem.
The car;
87 Shelby Charger. 2.5 T1 on GLHS Stage II LM. +20% injectors. TII turbo and all the other common stuff.
The "problem";
In lower gears, at WOT it'll boost to roughly 9 psi and hold steady. If I ease off the throttle, the boost goes crazy and will spike up to 20+. In 5th gear I matted it and the boost steadily climbed to 25 psi (EGT's never went over 1350). If I let it, it'll peg my 30 psi gauge. Now this sounds like fun but with no IC yet, and no extra fuel other than the +20's, I'm sure damage will be the next stop.
Boost is controlled by the computer, so I'm assuming thats where the problem lies. Any other ideas? The only thing that makes me think computer is because it will stay at 9 psi at full throttle if I'm in gears 1-3 or so.
I'm thinking the only choice I have is to throw a boost controller on it, but I hate taking power away from the computer when I'm running IC-less. I like that it can pull timing if it has to, but CLEARLY it's not pulling boost.
