Ok, still looking around, I found a .73 housing, so is it worth getting, or will going from a .82 to .73 not make much difference to matter?

Hmmmm the .63 spooled real nice , the .83 was hard to get it to spool but it would if you tried hard enough , mabey to .73 would be the balance point.

I would wait for the .63. The .63 will support all the power you're going to make so why waste time and money on anything else?
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
Go 0.89

Im confused as to how that picture is relevant.

It's a joke. I'm running a 2.2 8 valve with an 0.89 compressor and spools just over 4000 rpm.

Just go .63. With your refusal to spray, even a .63 may not spool up with the tight converter you want. Don't set yourself up for failure.
I spool that Holset a thousand RPMs earlier

Forgot about that graph, that is pretty cool, its gotta be that cam. Too bad dyno's were expensive, take it out and see what happens,

I just want to put basically a stock TM LU converter back in, a Neon will be too tight for this turbo.

You're saying there's a noticeable difference between a factory turbo LU converter and a neon converter?

Converter stall does not stay the same. A heavier car or more powerful engine will make the converter stall at a higher rpm. The advertised stall is aquired on a test bench that applies the same torque to all of them and determines the stall. So a "2800" stall converter could stall at 3500 on simons van.

Not true, see below.
Exactly, IE a 3000 stall converter on a mild small block might stall at 4000 or higher against a built big block.
But stock to stock, the Neon is around 2800, and I've stalled stockish turbo car's around 3500 rpm. 200 rpm either way isn't a big deal,

That is exactly incorrect, which is why i specified whether they were run in the same car. Otherwise it's difficult to compare. We can all learn something in this threadRegardless of the vehicle the torque convertor is in, it still stalls at the same speed. In any on my testing, the neon is around 2600-2700 and the turbo dodge is around 3300 rpms.
