    idle problem ??

    87 glhs t2 set up. ok heres the prob. starts fine. revs to about 1800,then drops to 1200 then to 900. take it for a ride and coming up to a stop drops to 1200. then at a complete stop down to 900. should it go down to 900 after letting off on the gas. insted of steps 1200 to 900. is there a problem with my speed sensor. any ideas.

    Have you pulled the codes? That actually sounds pretty normal, especially until the car is warmed up.

    pull the throttle body off and give it a really good cleaning

    cant pull codes of yet ,need to hook up power loss light to lm. just one of those things i didnt get to in the swap lol. thanks for the input guys

    sounds about normal when the computer has been reset recently. Run it for a week and it will get a lot better.

    In my experience, LMs take very little time to learn. The SMECs and SBECs can take a while though. I usually have to put 50-100 miles on my SBEC car before everything is settled down.

    ajusted the base idle seems to be working better. thanks for the imput guys
