i dont think my wideband works anymore. it reads nothing but 10:1.
only thing i can think of is when i was wiring the wideband output, the ground touched a positive and sparked. great .

ugg, i think i have to go with a new direction with the car.
Oil burning before i thought was bad but now it seems like its non stop ever sense i rewired the car. who knows.. all i know is its embarrassing and deff not good for the car.
so i think it goes like this, hopefully get job (i think i will, i have everything going for me)
once i got job, pickup cheep civic (can get a daily drivable 90s civic for like $1500 with a super b series rice filled fury motor ) I want a civic because im good with a local shop who knows them inside and out just in case. ever seen 3 motor swaps happen in one night with 2 guys? i did
once i have DD car and job, boost the duster and get a decent tune then pull the motor and do the heads and possibly the rings? mine as well do rings if i have everything apart with no deadline. seems like the stock rings can be hit and miss as far as gap goes. but i have no idea what that means anyways :P And then with the tune already in place i can break it in easily with boost.
sounds good in theory. id turbocharge it now but it would be just my luck to get the full time job and then blow my motor up due to something stupid i overlooked and then have no way to work.
went front 5w30 to 10w40 and the oil burning seems to have stopped being noticeable.
prosport is replacing my wideband controller.. i guess i ruined it. its within warranty
what makes this picture special

I like 3.0s ... so??? ... stop looking at me like I've got two heads!
Lol no. I didnt expect to see my car in about 100 pictures on the local paintball series' facebook
i havnt researched yet.. bit i think you run leaner in a cooler climate.
i drove to paintball one morning hitting 16:1 the whole way and it was just perfect. on the way back (alot hotter out) i was having some miss issues until i turned it down to 15:1 afr. Same timing advance though. seems like i have to retard timing to, sometimes i get the same miss feeling when cruising and if the afr seems right its usually the ign advance being to much. the car likes 32-35* when cruising.
Colder air is denser and will cause a leaner mix w/ the same amount of fuel. So yeah it will run richer when it's warmer outside.
No thats not what i meant. The same lean mixture in warmer weather has a miss issue but in colder weather it seems fine
If you're running too rich for the operating conditions (air temp, amount of load, etc), you could be running into a rich misfire. Read the plugs after that happens, and I would also check the plugs gap.
Naw i know im lean because i slowely brought it from 14.7 to 16.1 afr
All was good until it got warmer outside and the car missed a little bit under cruise until i brought it back to 15.7 or so
Just seems like itl run lean and be happy if the intake temp is really low until mid day when the temp rises
the hvac confuses the ---- out of me...
new heater core is installed.. just need to put everything back together. removed the ac core thingermabob.
i broke more plastic things that i should have.... i need to get super glue in a small attempt to fix the flapper door that goes to the main hvac thing. im not worried about it really but whatever.
getting the hvac out is not as hard as it thought.. the car looks torn apart but i think i have it under control?
cool car works fine now, no coolant smell in cabin
