So I'm getting around to installing the OBX I bought from TU into my 520 and was looking for part numbers for any seals/bearings and shims I'll need. So far I've found Sonnax 39539-Z5 for the shim kit. For the carrier bearings I found national A18 bearings, and the input shaft seal is easy to find. Any other seals or bearings or anything I may need? Or corrections to what I have here? Part numbers would be awesome. Thanks for the help.
Before you install tranny in the car make sure both axles will go into the obx AFTER you install the carrier bearings on it. I had problems getting the axles into the carrier after the bearings are pressed onto it, prior to pressing the bearings on the axles went in just fine. Might want to add a drain plug to the bottom of the transmission, should be a write up on that here somewhere. HTH.
Yup, I've read through the posts for the axles and the drain plug....will do on both.
Make sure to check the od of the obx and make it isnt out of round where the bearing's press onto, or too big, youll split the bearing races and have to order new ones!
