Please help! Sunroof track issues

Hey guys, I'm at my folks place so hopefully I can get this solved soon. Car is an '89 Lancer Shelby. I took the glass off the sunroof to inspect why only the vent function worked. I ran the tracks back slowly little by little and made sure that nothing was going back wrong. Everything went fine but when I moved them back up the passenger side lagged behind and now is not in sync with driver side. I can't seem to move them by hand. They still move at the same pace but not together. Please! How can I adjust this nightmare?

Anybody have any experience with this?

each track runs off the same gear, they're kinda synchronized. i would find the electric motor and take it out. then the cables/tracks should move freely.

If it was closer I'd take a look, I've managed to fix a few non functional taurus sunroofs on my SHO's and friends cars over the years.
