    WTB: 2.4L 03-05 SRT4 Shortblock and Crank

My buddy threw a rod last weekend and is looking for a shortblock and crank for his 2003 SRT4. Just looking for the block and crank since he will just be upgrading his internals during the overhaul. PM me if you have one and along with the price so I can pass it onto him. Thanks.

Tried to PM and got, "Tweeks_SRT-4 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages."

    I have a crank.

New shortblocks from Chrysler were reasonably priced if memory serves.

No argument from me. for a complete ready to drop in bottom end that is a bargain. If I had some extra cash to blow I'd buy 1-2 along with 1-2 T850's and find a safe place to store them for the next 10 years. they would certainly not go down in value.

That's strange since I just checked my general settings and I should be able to receive PM's. How much for the crank?

When he drops out his old one I'd be interested in the remaining pistons and rods if they aren't useless.

You can find complete long blocks for 1200-1500. Then you can sell the head, intake, exhaust/turbo injectors, etc...and pretty much make your money back.

Hey JT, yeah it was pretty bad. I was behind him when it happened. He was doing a 70-100mph pull and it threw the rod. The car had about 82K miles on it and was running a Mopar Stage 3 turbo with a 47lb wheel @ 23psi. He had no knock but his A/F's were in the mid 10's when it blew.

Here's some pics of the motor. I was over at his house helping with the motor pull. It was like a giant blender.
    On its way out

    One of the holes

    On the Stand

    The other hole

There should be a piston in here.

Ohh...there it is. The ring is holding it together.

Looks like it went through a blender

    Pile of scrap

Whats left of the rod and piston..

    Bench full of parts.

    3 Cylinder SRT Motor anyone.

Yeah I'll pick up a N/A engine locally just need turbo pistons/rods, they aren't so cheap from the dealer anymore and only needing one new one would work out better than all 4.

He sure did. I'm just waiting for my car to do the same thing. I'm pushing just as much boost as him if not more from my AGP Delta 46.

Re: WTB: 2.4L 03-05 SRT4 Shortblock and Crank

I should have the car ready for Mopar Nats this year. My old fuel system setup crapped out in the fall last year and just got the car up and going back in early April. I got rid of the Aeromotive external pump and switched to a Bosch 044 inline and running a Hellman Performance sump on the tank for my feed. I'm also going E85 with the car this year. Got a guy on our CSC site selling 1025cc injectors and with 93 and E85 baseline tunes with the injectors.
