There is a hole in the center of my GLH-T, and the head liner is sagged some.
I thought it was a button of some sort, but unable to seach and find a picture.
Thanks, Greg

it is a big button push tab thing. A pin goes in the middle of it to push the tabs on the other side out in the hole and keep it from falling out. To remove it you push the pin all the way through and pull it out. The hole it fits into is in a cross brace across the roof. If you go to the j-yard you can get 2 more braces out of Lbodies and radiator fan clips and bolts that hold the rad fan on and then put the 2 other braces in your roof. When you pull the head liner down you'll see where they were supposed to go. Then you can have 3 tabs in your headliner and instead of sounding like a tin can when you shut the door it sounds solid like a Mercedes. Obviously they were supposed to have all 3 braces but the bean counters got in the way.
Headliner fastener. Came in colors. Used from at least 1979-90.
I have 6 colors NOS if anybody needs them.
Good advice. I did this to one of my Omnis and it feels way more solid. Along with bolting it in I also used windshield urethane to secure the braces to the roof. I've been gathering more braces to do the rest of my fleet. Also I used 3 buttons to hold the headliner up.
Thanks
Randy

I will say be very careful popping that little center pin out. I broke mine when doing my headliner. Luckily I was able to find a new one at the dealer.
Also, if this is the first time you've had the headliner board out, you'll find a bunch of sound deadener that is probably smelly and falling apart. You may be tempted to throw it away and run without it. I made that mistake in my CSXT, and its suprising how much sound that actually blocks- especially if you drive the car in the rain. So when I did my Charger, I dropped the above mentioned roof brace, and covered the underside of the roof with some sound deadener.

Yep, adding a brace and some sound deadener really helps reduce the tinniness.

Received my button today, thanks Martin.

I just wish I had a headliner that all it needed was a button.
I need the actual board.
