    Re-inslalling A/C on a GLHS

    Hey Guys,

I got my GLHS about 3 years ago. The A/C belt was missing and the compresor was locked up. I wanted to Make my car a copy of Mark Jewson's car anyway so I just yanked it all out and installed a non-A/C alt bracket.

Well now my car is getting pretty settled in and semi-reliable so it would be nice to put the A/C back in there.

Pretty sure the compressor is toast but I have all the original lines and I capped off the evaporator at the firewall.

Can I just get a new compressor and re-use the old lines? Or should I just replace it all?

Kind of flying blind here. Any ideas appriciated. WOuld love to have the ice cold A/C these cars came with.

I would replace the hoses if you can get them new. Craptastic hoses are probably the #1 reason 90% of these cars dont have working a/c, they leak at the flanges and rust pitting does the rest.
