If it works for a 3.8SC engine, I think it should work for our engines, IF it fits!

The shadow is the bastard of the bunch, Its really hard finding a short enough radiator to fit it. I tried a daytona radiator and it was like 2-3 in too tall. I have to lean my honda radiator really far back to make it fit.

I'm looking for cooling performance in the size package that I am limited to. I live in a 110-120 degree desert summer and wants A/C and front mount intercooler in my car. $220 is an acceptable price.

My honda rad fit in just fine and i do have AC. That being said I don't see 110+ degree weather where I live.

that doesnt look "all" aluminum to me? it looks like it has black plastic tanks that are crimped on, you can see the ridges where the tank meets the header. and i would personally look for a cross-flow radiator, they cool much more efficently... when you said 3.8, i thought you were talking about the chevy/pontiac/buick sc motor, but i think those are only 3.4? anyways, im going to try and get one of those to fit, i think they are to long though...

Remember that apples to apples aluminum is worse than brass at cooling....

The reason that aluminum wins in a racing radiator is because it is cheaper to manufacture with wider tubes. The wider tubes give more surface area. If the aluminum is the same size tube as brass then it will cool worse so make sure you get a wide tubed aluminum radiator. A single wide row is much better than multiple narrow rows.

The overall area on a charger is something like 16" high (although the lip sticks up another 1" giving you 17" of clearance) and 24 wide IIRC. Most aftermarket radiators don't fit height wise.

Re: All aluminum radiator, possibly found??

i used to work for a radiator shop so i know whats up my friend also welds aluminum, so as long as i find a core that fits, he can weld on aluminum tanks for me, plus, if its to tall (being a crossflow) we can cut the headers and tubes to make it shorter, but i wont be able to take width out of it... i have a custom three row copper and brass rad right now (l-body t1 rad with a 3 row), they had to stretch both my end tanks a 1/2" to fit them into the wider header, it holds almost another gallon than it did with the old t2 radiator out of a daytona...

he has also been playing around with using intercooler/hydrualic cooler cores for rad core's (he has been doing it on the larger diesle trucks, and the ford superduty's), they are way more beefy and last a lot longer, plus he can get a giant core made, then cut it down to make 2 or 3 radiators...

cool. not bad. too bad they dont offer a partial width t2 sized rad.

im still running a honda 3 core rad with a modded 01 caravan fan. if that doesnt cool enough when i add the A/C back in, i have a scirocco dual pass dual core aluminum rad.

Problem isnt a T1 rad, you can get those anywhere. It's a TII rad so you have room to run the intercooler piping thru. Never had even a 20 year old T1 rad cooling the car. If it creep while in traffic flip the fans on a lil early. Actually never had any problems with a old poop TII rad cooling the car either
