Hi all - been wanting one a long time and finally got one last week. My son has a Neon that's been turboed - it ran great right up until it didn't. While looking around for a driver for him while the engine is out, by coincidence at the machine shop I found an '86 Daytona Turbo Z C/S.
It's in decent shape. It runs really well. 5-speed shifts good after some adjustment. Most everything works save a few switches here and there. Interior is pretty good, considering the age. Bad part is the floorpans. Pretty much gone. Rear brake drums fused on as well. Not surprising for a Nebraska car I guess.
Still, for $400, not a bad deal I guess. The hard part will be prying it out of his hands. We're going to run it at the track this weekend just for fun, see what it does. Been getting a lot of good info from the threads on here. I've been lurking for a long time, never had a reason to post till now.
