    Re: Mallory Unilite Distributor

I talked with him today (Rob) and he said he really wants to hold onto it. I asked him if $300 would pry it out of his hands (this one is still new in the box and never used) and he thought about it for a second, and then declined.....

Everything has a price.... just not sure if it's worth $350-400 that it might take to get it from him.

Someone in another thread (the one where I sold his used one for him) mentioned that Summit has them listed, but from $300-400 or something like that, and they kinda doubted it was something they even still had in stock.

How about converting a 1.7 distributor or maybe go to a different brand? I'm running a Ford 2300 distributor, that I modified, in my 2.2 and it works perfectly. I'm turnning 7500+ with it and it hasn't missed a beat.

    Re: Mallory Unilite Distributor

Thanks for your reply Directconnection, I appreciate you asking for me, but for now thats out of my budget range. I just picked up and installed an msd 6al, I hear they are great with the Mallory, hopefully Il find someone thats parting with one for cheap. 22mopar, Iv seen articles on the 1.7l distributor conversions and things like running a distributor off the cam gear. Il consider something like that if a Mallory doesnt spring up anytime soon. Thanks Guys!
