    rear sway bar mod!

hey guys, I found something very interesting, that I would like to share with yall!!

i took the sway bar off my lancer and replaced it with a shelby Z one.....anyway, i took the original sway bar and brought it out back, and placed it up in front of a rear axle....and what do u know, with a little shortening of the sway bar, one could easily adapt the front sway bar, into the rear trailing axle!

ill get soem pics up later, but its really funny how it works out. its perfect. the sway bar ends walk right around the rear springs. the bar could be welded in place, or possibly even drilled out and taped for easy on/off access. would just need to mock something up to get it attached to the main bar...either some sort of bushing setup....or permanent installation weld (which would really help eliminate flex)

Was just thinking of that. I have an R/T bar in my shadow but have a shelby z one to go in it and I was thinking of putting the R/T one in the rear.

it was kind of hard to get it positioned on there, as i dont have anyone around to take a pic while i hold it up....but you guys can get the general idea

edit: after looking at it it could really be jsut as easy as hole sawing 2 holes out to get the bar to sqeeze in, position and weld in place for super solid rear axle

would also provide some extra weight in the rear, for those looking to try and balance out the car for better handling.

You will have to mock it up with fuel tank and exhaust!!!

Yeh, definitely would like to see it under the car (if you get to it before i do.. ) but seems like a plausible idea.

Dont push the red button. You hear me?
