Fuel Pressure Gauge jumps when I hit the gas.

So at start up the pressure reads about 34 psi. When I hit the gas it snaps to the full reading of 110psi. then goes back to 34 when I'm off the gas. Its not slow either way. hit the gas .... bam up to 110. Of the gas bam back to 34. When I am super slow on the throttle it stays at 34psi? I do have a cheap gauge. I checked the grounds. they seem to be ok. But why only when I hit the gas?
    thanks

    What kind of vehicle?

Also why are you checking it in the first place?

Well first off, you know a fuel pressure regulator is referenced to manifold pressure right, be it vacuum or boost? So it's a nominal 55psi plus or minus reference pressure.... but 110 does seem like it's spiking a bit high.
