    Piston Group buy

I just worked out a killer summer deal with one of my piston manufactures, so we are doing a group buy on 2.2 and 2.5 pistons. I need to get at least 10 orders for this to happen. Our exclusive pistons with Total Seal rings, premium tool steel pins and locks for $499 per set + shipping. Regular price is $675. I can only do this price with a 40 piece order. Bore sizes available from standard to +.040. 3 to 6 weeks for delivery. Call us with any questions. This may not happen again.

    Benefits:
    1. 30 psi of boost on premium pump gas
    2. No need for alcohol or exotic fuels
    3. With a properly built engine detonation is virtually eliminated
    4. Makes more power and is stronger by design
    5. Custom compression ratios and bore sizes available
    6. Premium ring sets reduces break in time and promotes exceptional sealing
    7. Extreme duty H13 pins available
    8. No extra machining necessary

40 orders of 4 pistons, or 40 pistons? Also, what manufacturer?

So are these pistons that you designed specifically for use in 2.2/2.5 engines? Or just a generic dished turbo piston? Designed to work w/ a specific head?

    BTW killer deal either way

2 other types? You mean 3. JE from FM, Venolia's from FWDP and Weisco from TU. Maybe 4 if you include some of the guys that can get Diamond pistons.

weiscos are lighter, require way less piston to wall clearance due to less expansion when warm just an overall better choice for a street engine, the venolias are the strongest due to the 2618 material they are forged from but its also this material that causes so much expansion and tons of piston slap until warmed up

    Sorry for the delay.

40 pieces = 10 sets. Applies to 2.2 and 2.5 pistons SOHC. Arias makes them for me but I also use the largest piston manufacturer in the country for the big runs. Everything is to my specs and checked by me so you can be assured of receiving top quality parts.

Specially designed for the 2.2/2.5 turbo engines, big valve reliefs 8:1 compression, SOHC.

Lots of good questions. The pistons are made from 2618 like the other manufactures. The Venolias are based on the original OE design. There are deficiences in that design. Do I still use them at times. Yes, when they are asked for by my clients. I still have them in a couple of my personal engines also. The Weiscos also maintain many of the deficiencies that the OE design had. What we did was start fresh and redesigned the dish, the profile and the ring stack. This allows for more boost while almost elimiating detonation.

Nice, that's the info I was looking for Are they designed to work w/ the bathtub head, or the swirl head? Or do you have 2 designs, one for each type? Or, have you figured out how to make one design work good w/ both heads?

Though if you're asking that, I'm thinking you've answered the question of "should I build my own engine?" with a no anyway.

Ive built plenty of engines from stocks to pro stocks the question is legit, does this piston require a 0 deck clearence to eliminate detination or does it need to be out of the hole or in? piston to wall clearence ? ring end gaps ? are the valve reliefs debured to eliminate hot spots ?
