Boost Box Body Work, Take 1...

All I can say is, whoever suggested the slide hammer was a freaking GENIUS! I recommend the one with the 13lb slide from Harbor Freight. It's a MONSTER!

    Before.....

some slide hammer and dolly work...... almost ready for bondo........

    After bondo and paint:

All that's left on the outside is cleaning the overspray off the window and just a little off the tail light. Most of the body lines from the middle of the wheel well back are now Bondo, but I don't think anyone will notice.

I'd never played with bondo before, but I've finished a fair amount of drywall. The paint is all rattle can.

    So how'd I do?

You did a really good job for being the first time, i myself being a autobody car can tell easily, but it still looks good..matching the body lines and what not take alittle practice..when i first started out ihad a sundance with a rusted threw..i did alotta body work on that fender well...i must of redid it like 15 times..seriously....and then when i finally got it to where i thought it was damn near perfect..when i took it to my teachers house (he offered to help me with painting the car) he looked it over and still worked on it...so yea...sometimes its a pain...guess yea gotta know the tricks...but anyways..good job...diff looks a crap load better!

    Thanks!!

Yeah, I can pick out a half dozen places I wanted to spend more time on, but I was to the point where I just said "SCREW IT, I WANT TO GET THIS THING ON THE ROAD!" There are still a couple of little humps here and there, but they hid better than I thought they would. I no longer fear body work.

Look at the bright side, it's white paint and won't showcase the imperfections like black would! it's better than what I think I could do.
