    85 GLH-T build

After being motivated, by reading some of the project cars, I felt the need to start my own.

Classic story of average 80's turbo mopar, that is to be improved upon in performance.

Picked up the GLH last year, stripped it down to let it air out, and to see what is needed to be done, pull drive train etc.

Engine two cracked pistons, broken trans mounting ear on back of block.

Car was relatively rust free, no waite the front floors are rusted were the factory seam sealer was applied

    Will update soon,
    Greg

Now we present the Flintstone TM mod,

Yes! I wasn't sure it would have this mod, when I bought it.

Pretty much if it's an L-body, it will have this mod.

First L-body I have had. Rust free car as far as everything else on car. My Sl had realitively good floors, but rockers and fenders x3 had rust.

Yup. I bought a "rust free" GLH-T. I should have known better being a New England car. Over the winter I did see a couple small rust holes in the floor. But after driving it they have become a bit bigger. I don't dare pull up the carpet until next winter.

Yep...my GLHS was rust free. Until I pulled up the carpet. :-)

Not a big deal, just a bit of cutting and welding to do.

Yes, fixing the floors isn't a big deal, plus it is too cold to do any paint work so far this year(frost warning in the morning).

    Rough plans for the GLH

    convert to T-II
    intake
    3-bar, 255 lpm, +40's
    T3/T4 50 trim stage2
    T-II rods, and pistons
    Roller head

    523 trans
    4 puck ceramic clutch

    Clean and paint interior trim
    spray sound insulation on floor
    new carpet
Dash has large crack in it( replace)

Hope to be driving it sooner than later

Pictures from far away do my car a lot of justice. LOL. But thanks for the compliment!

Have to put a second coat on today. They were out of the special spray gun with an estimated delivery about one week. I ended up getting a texture spray gun from Harbor freight ($15.99(w/coupon) vs $79 for theirs).
First coat was with the largest nozzle, and sprayed too much material. Second coat, today I am going to use the middle sized one. Harder to use, because the paint container is gravity feed from large hopper.

    Will get picts today.

I used Lizard skin on our GLHS. The car is as quiet as our GLH that has dyna mat.
The nice part is that Lizard skin weighs about 1/4 of what dynamat does.

Nice to see another GLH being saved.

Ya, pretty much looks like ajakeski's.( although the car over all will not be near as nice as his)

Fairly easy to apply, will spray with all three of tips that came with the sprayer, smallest gave the best control.

For the price of the gun, and end result, I would say I was satisfied. Just limited on ability to spray certain angles.

    Thanks Keith.
The stock two piece panels were in rough shape, the top hard plastic was sun baked and falling apart.
