Question tps woes need help starting to think my td is out to get me lol

once again here i am again 86 turbo z t1 log car replace the tps sensor becasue i got code 24 but now with the new sensor it gets a 24 i know its installed correctly i have cleaned the connectors multiple times and it goes away for a little while. another wierd aspect is i can wake up and the power limited light be on start the car run it for a minute and shut the car off and start it again and the light goes off. to me this seems weird . could it be a bad sensr and could this be causing my cutout . any help would be appreciated

Sounds like a wiring issue, unplug all the harness connectors and clean them up, use a small flat needle file (buy them cheap at Harbor Freight) to clean the terminals as good as possible. Also check the LM connectors and clean if necessary, sometimes they get dirty or corroded. They also sometimes get loose or push out of the plug if the LM has been unplugged a lot.

I had a random TPS code in my '87 and it turned out to be a bad connector in one of the harness connectors. Not sure why since the wires don't run through it, my guess is it was causing a sensor voltage or grounding fluctuation.

for sure it can cause issues with cut out and missfires

Agree with the others, could be a wiring issue somewhere else. I had an 84 Daytona that was throwing multiple codes intermittently, turned out to be the connector at the oil pressure sending unit was broken and barely making contact. It had nothing to do with either of my codes but fixing that solved the problem.

LM's are notorious for the connectors to get wet and corroded, check and clean, you can buy a solvent that cleans the terminals. If after being cleaned, the wiring checks out, then the LM took a dump.

the ground at the fuel rail looks kinda shaggy does it have to look good for it to work if the lm took a dump why would it run good when the code is gone

I had a bad ground on my lancer converted to t2. Ran a wire straight to the battery and wala fixed !! I used the FM conversion wiring harness and part of the problem was also there connector going into the tps. Everything looks fine and like it would be making contact but after wiggling the connector with my power probe on the signal wire i found the bad contact. Got ta oe connector from the jy and fixed that also
