    Stock Head Rebuild

I'm rebuilding the swirl head in my van...what needs to be done?

Valve seals and seats, right? How much should it cost to have a machine shop do both of those. I htink I'm going to re-use the valves, springs, keepers, and retainers. What else do I need?

Have it pressure tested first and check for cracks-not the ones between the valve seats. If ok, have a 3 or 5 angle valve job done, back cut the valves, new guides installed with the clips so they don't fall down, new valve seals and have the deck checked and milled if necessary. Have them check the valve spring tension. Should cost around $150-$250.
