    Axle length differences?

Are the axles for the cast A arm cars slightly longer than the axles for the stamped arms? I picked up an axle out of a cast arm turbo J body that is of the long pass side design from the JY yesterday, but I could not get the darn thing in my car today (stamped arms). I was not thinking about it at the time, but could this have been my problem?

Auto zone lists two different part #s when you make the change between the years of the cast and stamped arms. I am just not sure if that is why.

ETA: It looks like I might have made a mistake with the antilock brake diference. Perhaps I am just a weiner, and should try again.

ALL car axles EXCEPT L bodies are the same. The only difference is later ones can have ABS toner rings.

Thanks that is what I figured after further comparing the part #s. I guess I just gave up a little too soon.
