Need oil sending unit? 87 T1

Putting my car back together... I am trying to hook up an oil line from the turbo to the front of the block. I believe this is the "oil sending unit", which has an oil pressure switch, some other sensor, and the oil line.

Looks like when I took it apart last year, the bung that the oil line connects to broke off. Doesn't seem to be a way to remedy this situation - is there?

I guess I need to get a new oil sending unit - but I don't know where to get one. Any ideas? Don't see it listed on Autozone, etc.

    Thanks!

I am talking about the whole hexagonal thing needs to be replaced? How was that broken fitting even attached - there were no threads in the hex body. Was it brazed on of something?

Yea, thats the oil distribution block that the lines and senders attach to. The broken part was brazed on, not threaded in like the sensors. Put a post int he wanted section, I'm sure someone has a spare

you won't find the distribution block at the parts stores...I went thru this a few years back. hit the yards if you can't find one on the boards - when I called the dealer when I was looking, they were around but were like $90-100 (with no sensors) believe it or not. I gotta imagine similar year n/a blocks probably used the same oil distribution block, you should be able to find one somewhere. on earlier setups, there were two sensors (and the oil feed to turbo) - the pressure sending unit itself, and the dummy light sensor. the later setups (at least on the common block I swapped in) didn't have the brazed fitting and only one sensor (so 2 ports, not 3 like yours), if I remember correctly...don't hold me to it. the sensor terminals are different for later sensors, so you have to keep the sensor for that year. at worst, drop the dummy light sensor if you have to use a later distribution block.

Derek just make sure Tryingbe is sending you one from a 86+. The 84-85 used a 1/4" NPT fitting (going into the block) and the 86+ cars used a 3/8" NPT fitting.
Easy on the pumping iron Hercules, never seen anyone break one where you did (lol)!

Always the harbinger of doom and bad news... well, he said it was exactly like the one I had in the picture. Too late now, its on the way. I just paid shipping, the part was free. Will find out at the end of the week.

And I only say this cause every time I try to do something on my own, Todd will inevitably point out what I did wrong... and he is always right. Next time, things will be different... I hope.
