    I Need A Proportioning Valve

I have an 89 GTC with the big brakes. I need the proportioning valve. I don't know if there is a difference between years or not.

What does your P-valve look like?

It's a brass colored prop valve with two lines going into the top from the MC, a line on each side going to the front brakes, and two lines on the bottom going to the rear brakes.

I don't see a tag on it anywhere. However, I looked up the factory part number and it's 4485829.

it took me over a year to find a prop valve that would work, i drove around with my rear tires locking up in wet, dry, and snow...... it was fun and scary at the same time.

your part # should be stamped on it someplace...

for the record, my vnt shadow with solid rear disc had the green tag.... so your's probably should have a different one.

The # stamped on them doesnt correspond to anything in the catalogs. Its like trying to identify an 8v camshaft, knowing what it originally came off of and if its still got its color tag on it is the only way to really know whats what.
