If they aren't the +35 offset ones they wont fit without spacers. The +35 will barely fit, unless you put a really wide tire on it, then it wont.
The tire size you want depends on how low you want it and whether you want to avoid rolling the fender lips. In general id suggest a 225/40r18 if you're lowering it.

I got 19's on mine...not sure if that helps...but i can assure you, 18's will fit =P
nice ! with the offset i need to roll the fenders lip , but hey ! they look bada** on the car
u can probably get by w/o rolling. my fronts fit fine...the backs are just slightly outside the wheel wells, but with the width they are it actually looks ok...kinda like slicks, but on a lo-pro tire vibe.
not to hijack but I'm looking at a set of rims 17x7, 42mm offset with 205/45R17s, and according to your guy's math they fit, and I check it with a stock 205/60r15 and its pretty close to the same size. Hell from the sound of it a 225 45 would maybe fit.

me too the fronts looks ok but the rear looks like it would rub ,im not sure if im gonna use them yet .yeah they are wide wheels , 8 inch wide , too bad i bought new tires for the crab wheels last summer haha
the rears would rub? how big a tire are you trying to run? My rears have inches of space, the fronts are snug (someone backed into me and they started rubbing...its tight to say the least).
Sorry, that just suprises me that fronts would be ok, but rears not...unless you're staggering the stance?
Either way, best of luck, 18's can certainly fit, just a matter of the math... I'm actually getting rid of the 19's soon, the ride quality is horrendous....
the tires that are on it are flush to the rim tho , its used wheels and cant say for sure the offset they have but the rear springs are bad on the car

If you keep the stock 4x4 stance practically any wheel/tire will fit without rubbing. The problem with that is that you now have a car with big, aftermarket rims that has no excuse for NOT being lowered. Running ugly stock wheels gives you an out.
The problem with the fender lips comes from lowering. In other words, the problem with the fender lips comes from making it look good. If you lower the car enough, 8" wide rims &tires are likely to rub on the fender lips unless they are rolled. This is why i suggested 225/40r18, because they are not any wider than the wheel and will give you a little more clearance, or just less interference, with the fender lip.
Like this, the one in front clearly does NOT need the fender lips rolled. The one in back DID need the fender lips rolled.
