Question LC1 running ox sensor circuit-pig lean???

Installed my new LC1 on Sat, so finally hooked up the wideband output for the oxygen sensor, it works but its soo friggin lean, at cruise on the highway, its perfect, 15-15.5:1 but around town and off the line, it bogs and it around 16-17:1????????? What's causing this? Do I need to adjust my fuel tables? I hooked up the ox sensor again and everything is normal.

Did you do a free air re-cal on the lc1?

Mais qui, and I had to put a new sensor in too, when I tried to reuse my 6 month old sensor, it kept flashing a code 8,

you solder the connection? Did you check the Narrowband a/f settings in log works? If it's running fine with the stock O2 then it should run fine with the LC-1.

Solder the ox stuff? Yeah at the connectors, used an old connector at the engine bay so no need to cut anything. I'll go into logworks and double check the settings.

Re: LC1 running ox sensor circuit-pig lean???

Did you ever get this straightened out? I have two issues with my LC-1 and one of them turned out to be the wiring. I hooked the white wire directly to ground. It works much better if it shares the same power that the PCM uses along with the sensor ground (K4 bk/lb) the PCM uses. The signal change seen in the data recording is MUCH smoother. The other issue I think is output rate. Did you set your O2 output rate for instant, 1/6, or 1/3 (think those numbers are correct)?

Re: LC1 running ox sensor circuit-pig lean???

I haven't played yet, I drove it for another week as I'd changed some fuel settings then I plugged it back in, worked except it only saw 14.7:1 at idle, then 12-13:1 all the time, hot, cold, except at WOT, so I unplugged it again for now. Just haven't had time to play and check it out,

Tank mileage jumped up running the stock SMEC. I was around 330 with the LC1, 350-400 km's with the computer.

Not powering a wideband O2 in an active exhaust system will certainly kill the sensor in short order.

Re: LC1 running ox sensor circuit-pig lean???

simon, before you do changes to your fuel table recalibrate your sensor.

here's something from the innovate forums:
Remove o2 sensor from its bung and let it hang in fresh air.
Remove anything from the yellow and brown wire.
turn on/ apply a 12V to the redwire(how ever you do it, i have mine hooked up when the key is on the "on" position) for 30 seconds (don't start the car).
    Turn it off.
Hook up your yellow and/or Brown wire
turn on your LC1 (don't start the car)
Ground the Black wire for 3 seconds then release it
    Turn the LC1 off.
    Re-install the o2 sensor.

if this still shows strange readings, calibrate the yellow wire as wideband output and use that instead of the brown one.

then i'd start looking at your fuel tables as the wideband sensor should tell you the correct AFR ratios

Re: LC1 running ox sensor circuit-pig lean???

Wow, you guys are silly, how can I still use the wideband if its unplugged?

We are talking about the driving the computer with the wideband output so when I say its unplugged, then that would be, drum roll please, the wideband output,

You didn't mummify the hell out of it with tape did you? Some sensors breathe out of their connector jacket (For outside air O2 reference) so if you worked on the sensor side connector, check what you did.

Edit: Also, some breathe through the tin shield over the back of the sensor, so if you mummified the bottom in header wrap, that also could be an issue.
