Does anyone make some high performance brake shoes for the L Body drums?

I'd like to know this too
Would probably be cheaper/easier to convert to rear disc, its a pretty simple upgrade.
Try and find oldskool rivetted ones, naturally ventilated and don't unbond under heat stress.

Id swap mine to disk (like I did on the rampage) but the S car has to stay rear drum.
They really don't do all that much braking anyway. Plus I would be concerned that if you did use a more aggressive friction material, that the drums would not be able to dissipate the extra heat.

I've just used stock replacement Wagner Thermoquiet shoes.
Bah, not much around for L-bodies... well that's what I find after interviewing the usual suspects.
One shoe I'm liking the sound of muchly for the voyager is the ACDelco durastop rivetted. Don't have a P/N for the L body though...
Anyone able to sneak caravan brakes on theirs?

Bigger drum brakes that dont look too conspicuous?
are you allowed to modify them? Like drilling a series of 1/4-1/2 in holes around the outside of the drum and drilling 2-4 large holes in the face of the drum? Also drilling a bunch of holes in the backing plates.

Seems like you'd be better off trying to adjust the biasing with drums. My civic had the front brakes changed once a year, cant say I ever changed the rears.

Just talked to them, yep, they still do it, any shoe/pad they can upgrade, just need cores as they don't supply them. Aprox $30-40 a shoe and they will choose a lining based on what your doing.
