    cam cap torque specs

    What should I torque my cam caps to on a 87 t2 topend with a roller cam install?

    90' FSM says: 215 in.lbs.

    86' FSM says: 165 in.lbs.

    Until one breaks, then back off the others a bit,

    Seriously, 18 ft/lbs, right out of my service manuals.
    1989 FWD Turbo Caravan-2.5 TIII, GT35R, auto, a/c, cruise, pwr windows/locks, fully loaded with interior and ran with full exhaust. RETIRED FOR A FEW YEARS! 12.57@104 :O)

    who seriously tqs that ---- down !!! LOL

    yep i was gonna say anywhere from 15-18 fpt

    im guessing cordes 165 in pounds would be very close to 15 fpt

    Use a torque wrench for almost everything. I haven't been able to tame my super human strength yet.

    sounds good. i went to 10fp but your saying 15 so ill just snug them up, bolt on a vc and go.

    i snap head bolts so i have to do the cam cap bolts "by hand"
