Are you talking about a port for the PCV?

You don't need the inner baffle, the turbo V/C has one already, but you should redo it as its not ideally done from the factory.

The DC valve cover may not have a baffle inside?

Probably need to use the N/A baffle that was on the early 2.2s with the stamped steel cover that used the huge plastic breather/PCV box on the valve cover. Not sure if I have one running around or not, if I get a chance I'll look.

No no baffel inside I tried the early one and it wont work the dc valve cover is 3/4 of a inch shorter then a turbo one so the baffel in it wont work eather. plus its put on with screws on the back and im not drilling holes if I dont need to. For the pcv part I got that covered used a ford pcv grommet fits perfect and the pcv plugs right in

Are you going to run an open breather along with that PCV? If you just run the PCV then you will end up pressurizing the crankcase under boost. The PCV will close under boost and then there is no where for pressure to go.

Your gonna need some sort of baffling around that PCV otherwise it'll just ingest huge quantities of oil. Been there with a masi pre-production valve cover. IMO, cut up a turbo baffle and make it fit. Looks like a neat nostalgic TD project!

Re: Converting a dc valve cover to a turbo valve cover...help!

I beleave im goin to just make a baffel and have it tacked in inside. The turbo baffel is to thick for the dc the dc is shorter and more narrow towards the top. if I cut and mod it ill have about the same time and effort as a new one.

Figure out a way to put some breather filter material on the inside of the PCV valve.

The mod to the TBI baffle in my motor was spread out and flatten to fit closer to the cam. I made 2 brackets that used the cam caps to hold the baffle down. The baffle in my cover is a U shaped cover over the PCV with the openning facing up.
