    T II conversion runs like crap need help!

    first off 86 omni glh swapped over to csx stage II MP LM. after the swap vehicle would start and run pig rich!! found out that the thread i used to help with my wiring instructed me to wire my map signal and ground backwards after figuring that out found the my car barley starts and will not stay running. if i completely disconnect vac from the map it starts runs fine minus being slightly rich which is to be expected since the lm is seeing 2.5 v and thinking theres no vac. but as soon as i hook up to the vac on the engine its is hard to start and wont run. ive pinned out the lm and for the short time the engine is running im seeing correct voltages at the lm... im using the in vehicle map and i have the red wire 5v ref white signal and black is ground. im grounding the map directly to my body ground. i would think that would be OK if anyone has had a prob doing this let me know.

    I spliced into the ground at the LM for my map.

    Other than that I would say that you just need to check all of your wiring again and make sure that you have your vac lines setup correctly.

    Ive double checked my wires I've back probed all the major sensors all my readings seem ok. Tonite I even swapped my ground to the sensor ground instead of body ground no difference do u think I could have a bad map even tho my readings seem ok maybe it does not react fast enough seems to idle ok but I can't accel it sputters and dies like it's not getting any fuel

    Have you triple checked the cam timing? Did you set the ign. timing with the coolant temp sensor unplugged?

    Cam timing dead nuts on ign timing at 12

    The only thing I noticed was tps was a tad high at idle but wot was fine

    1.3v at idle. From what I've been told it should be .3- 1v

    have you put a meter on it and measured the voltage through the travel of the throttle body?

    yes i dont see any drop outs but then again i checked it with a craftsman meter. i forgot to bring my fluke home from work. but it seemed ok

    I'd start by replacing the MAP sensor. You may have damaged it by wiring it up backwards?

    cordes i like your style. ive been thinking its been a map issue this whole time but the thing thats throwing me is the readings seem to be spot on. well either way i think im gonna grab a new map and start from there.

    it ended up being the ground from the fuel rail i had a 10g wire from the rail to a body ground and after being absolutely lost i decided to put 4g wire i had been using temporally when i had first bought the car and gotten it running last fall and then it ran great, And has been
