Passenger mount - In Stainless?? Interested??

The 1979-1989 ( and some of 1990) passenger side engine mounts.
I have been making them, having them sandblasted, then powder coating the outside.
We have to mask the inside so powder coat doesn't get in there.

My question, if I make it out of stainless, would you like it or not?
Would not be black like stock.
It will cost more for the steel, but could take off the price of sandblasting and powder coating. SO they would not be much more than the price they are now.

If it were only a couple dollars difference in price I would go for the SS.

I'll toss in a positive as well... Funny, I've run into the same thing with some of the products I make. Plating/prep costing as much (or more) than a material upgrade!

As to the color, it would be easy enough to paint it, if bare stainless wasn't what one wants.

i think it would be too much, and it would attract more attention to the mount then the rest of the motor....unless you happen to have everything else polished to match lol...

NOT "polished" stainless, just metal that resists rust.

Very cool Johnny. When I need a new pass side mount I'll purchase one of the SS ones.
