Looking to trade 16V Maserati motor for complete running 2.2L TII or 2.5L TI and cash

I have a complete running 1990 commonblock 16V maserati motor and would like to trade it for an 87-89 2.2L TII or 89-92 2.5L TI motor complete. obviously im not talking a straight trade, im asking 1200$ for the complete motor but would take either a TII or TI and cash for trade. can be a stock or built. im looking for a daily driver turbo motor that i can bolt in and get 19+ mpg. would be looking in the vicinity of about 800$ and either motor. trade motor needs to run well and not need anything. within the local area would be prefered, CT,NJ,PA,NY,DE,RI,MA area. can pickup and deliver maserati motor for a price in above states within 180 miles of 07026. comes without wiring or computer.

I have two '89 CB T-II motors complete.... and some CB T-I motors as well.... (and a T-IV) No cash, though....

I think the fact that you won't ship it is killing the deal. I'd pull the 2.2 T2 CB with 2 piece, and S60 turbo to trade buy if you're not going to ship it then there's no deal.

If I'm not mistaken he wanted the buyer to actually pull it out of the car in one of his last threads.

He drives the car to you, then you pull the motor and ship his car back to him.

This is true, if you arent within about 8 hrs, its kinda tough. Its easy to pull out, but i have no way to pallet it to ship, i can pull it, block it in my truck bed and transport it just fine. In the last thread if the guy wanted it for 800 i told him he could come pull it himself. Right now its down to cash or nothing, my car is getting scrapped and everything sold off from the maserati daytona

Probably none of my business, but if you can pull a motor, you can build a crate.

Not taking sides.... but I am guessing it's just too much of a hassle for some people to crate and freight an engine. I've never done one myself, so I can kinda guess how Tom feels about doing this. Maybe he doesn't feel good about a "risk" as it's not like USPS or UPS made easy with a tracking # or having the crate get damaged during shipping (ie: his cradle fall over and it's all his fault the engine got trashed) etc....

Can't really be hatin' on someone for that, as it is his engine and his perogative, right?

I would be upset, too... if I really wanted it. So 2 sides to this story.

I guess all I can add is if you want it bad enough, then come to a middle agreement on risk and $.
