    seen a stock pump in a 91 shadow go out and eat the teeth on it and the intermediate shaft. I wouldn't throw the book at melling yet. I've been running one for 5 years now and drive and rev the piss out of the car. No issues at all.

    Since this was a replacement oil pump, did you make sure the pump was all the way in the hole?

    A friend just went through this. He couldn't figure why the car wouldn't prime aftering installing the motor. He noticed the disturtor wobbling.

    Pulled the pan. He found all the oil pressure was just pissing back into the pan. The pump wasn't flush against the block. Hence the wobbling disturotor.

    Good point, I have seen that aswell, wasn't installed properly and ----ed in the bore so to speak,
