how do i know what cam i have

i got a new casting from clearwater cylinder heads like 1yr ago and it had all remaned parts in it and even cam with a cam. i told them what my car is and i was just wondering if they put the right cam in it. is there a casting number on it or something? i also have a 93 n/a 2.5 cam laying around and was wondering if this would give me any better performance?

Need more info. What year / induction (T1/T2/etc) did you tell them the car was?

Did you ask them what cam was in it?

i told them i have a 90 daytona shelby with the 2.5 turbo

From what I understand there is not a way to tell what kind of cam it is unless you remove it and use a "cam doctor" to figure out the specs, and compare that to a list of known specs for the cams.
