Point 08 seconds, right? Unless the part of my brain that does math is still an hour behind. I imagine the shorter tires are helping here, if they could hook up a little better. Good progress though!

Re: 2011 Turbo-Mopar Times - DATA COLLECTION THREAD!!!

Since I don't know of a comment thread.
In 2011, I would still really like to be able to double post the same car in turbo and n/a format. Simply buying another chassis to pull that off is not a great option financially or parking wise. I have my Duster N/A right now and I want to race it as is and shoot for a 13.99 (yay sea level). N/A is an important thing when you talk about 3.0's, but unless you are talking carb/tbi/neon, nobody with a 2.2/2.5 cares about making room for n/a results since they would never do it. Most I ever saw was Wallace dynoing his t3 with turbo defeated.
Stole all the turbo parts off Duster and won't finish replacements anytime soon. Racing is not as fun if its not documented. People on TD can see it also since I won't post there :P
I don't think too many people would do it so the list won't be full of repeats. If I got another chassis it would still take up a spot on the list... Not to likely I take up any space on any fast section, even the 13 second section unless the stars align.

Looks like I am getting lucky and staying on Day shift so I can actually race this year and have actual income to race with. I pretty much quit racing for fun once I went to high elevation in 2005 because n/a racing sucked and my turbo stuff has not been more about trying things out then racing. Also, the track I was at was run by pricks that made racing no fun. I actually kept racing n/a all 2005 at high elevation but got fed up with supporting them. The track here in Seattle is great, even on a domestic v8 kinda day.

I see no problem with this at all as they are different engine configurations going from Turbo to N/A.

Does n/a and turbo of the same motor count as different configurations? Not sure what you mean by that.

Here is the way I see it... When the same car (with the same identical setup) is run, and the time is improved, the time for that car is updated and the old one is deleted. The reasoning - keep the best time for the car/setup and not the rest so it don't clutter up the page. Lets say the car gets modded with a bigger turbo or swaps to big slicks and goes faster... still the same car/setup so no need to keep the old times.

This is the "record for each car board" not the "document each run board" so I would expect each racer to document their own historical progress... I have a few hundered time slips in a box on my desk...

Now Brent's question is specific in that it will be the same car, but a different setup, going from Turbo to N/A and other than using the same shell is a new car/setup. I have no problems with documenting stuff like this as it is a fairly major change as compared to other typical improvements. In fact, for his example, it is going the opposite direction.

Here is another example of what I would deem acceptable... I would like to see Larry Buford's best time for his Sundance FWD and also his best time for his best RWD time on the board as they are different setups.

    Sound good?

I added a 3 bar map sensor and calibration. Boost would max out at 20 and creep down to 17-18 with a borrowed grainger valve. I need to put a stronger spring in mine.

    1986 --- Omni GLH-t AKA "The Hoopty" --- 2.2 hybrid FMIC --- A413(3.77:1) --- 24x8x15 Slicks --- Corby --- USA --- 2.125 (no boost out of the hole!) --- 8.376@88.69 --- 12.814@110.89

Got a lot of room left in it. This run was at 7 lbs of boost on a gt4094r turbo spinning just under the 8000 limit. I plan to run much more boost and spin it 9700 by the end of the year, so let's hope for some updated times in the near future
