1st Gen Daytona in Feb Hemmings Muscle

Just got the Feb issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines in the mail today, and found six color pages devoted to the first gen Daytona and, more specifically an gorgeous 85 with 37K miles. I think Barry gave us a heads up about this in a previous issue of Up Front or on one of the forums. SDAC got a small mention in the club side bar, as well as a very small mention of TU in the parts side bar.

There is another article in the same issue profiling three other makes of turbo cars together, 89 Turbo T/A, 94 TBird SC, and 87 GNX. The Daytona rated its own feature. Nice. Check it out!

I just got mine in the mail today. It's a great article. I drooled over that car for an hour. I passed on a black one just like it about 4-5 years ago. It had 60k miles and looked like it had 25k. Everything on it worked including ice cold A/C. Guess what I could have gotten it for.

$900! I'm still kicking myself over it.

Went online and ordered a couple of copies from Hemmings direct after searching every magazine rack and bookstore in my area. The internet is so convenient. Cant wait to see what they have to say. It would be nice if they would do a 2nd generation while they are at it.

Just e-mailed Hemmings suggesting they do an issue covering the 1987 to 1993 Daytonas. Will post if I get an answer back.
