I finially disassembled most of my srt4 engine. Cylinders 1, 2, and 3 all had spun rod bearings. Rod 4 the bearing looked fine other than a few pieces of junk in the bearing ( from the metal in the oil). All of the mains are fine. It was still difficult to spin the crank with the rods disconnected so I figured it spun the mains but they were fine. I am guessing something happened to the oil pump and put metal in the oil taking out the bearings. If it was run out of oil I would have expected rod 4 to be the worst and get better as it gets closer to the pump, but this was backwards. Has anyone ever see this happen on one of these engines?
