So I've had e-code housings for my HID's but I've always wanted "the real deal" which are true projectors with a perfect cutoff. The only way to do this so far is to get the insanely expensive "boob" headlights:
Or do your own.
I started out with a set of ebay housings someone gave me. They are junk to put halogens or xenon bulbs as they were. I found out there were fiberglass when I tried to cut them. The glass would not bake off either, apparently it was not an adhesive seal that melted.
I went to theretrofitsource.com and bought these: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...e7ae3921e3bece
They aren't the benchmark S2000 projectors in terms of beam pattern or lack of hotspots, but they are quite good, above ebay quality.
I copied more or less what someone else had done, cut out the housing to match the shape of the projector, and mounted it with 4 bolts, using nuts to achieve the desired aim. The stock adjusters can be used for fine tuning as well.
Came out pretty good. Keep in mind you do have to cut the header panel behind the headlights and the headlight buckets themselves. Note that this is just a writeup, I wouldn't make another set for any price.
I didn't get any beam shots, but its way better than anything you will get otherwise and I'm not annoying anyone. The cutoff is perfect, though the headlights do sit a couple degrees off (they peak in the middle) which is fine, and actually its so slight im shocked given that I didn't exactly CNC the hole positions. Even went 8000k with the color which is pretty high for me. I think I'll go to 6000k if one of these ever burn out though.
These are the same size as Charger/Omni 200mm headlights. Not sure if you could do them with daytona/lebaron/shadow ect 165mm.
